Hello! My name is Mika Hasegawa
About "Mika's TEABOX"
One cup of tea changed my life in 2008. I fell in love with Japanese tea when I was 39.
I visited the tea farmer, the Azuma family, in Wazuka-cho, a main tea production area in Kyoto, and experienced everything from fieldwork to sales activities.
I have learned that tea connects people regardless of nationality and a good teatime creates love and peace.
Now, I brew tea and share about tea as a Japanese tea instructor at various places.
I also enjoy talking about tea and walking around tea as a certified English-Speaking guide with various people from all over the world.
I am happy to take you to the tea world such as tea field tours, matcha experiences, Japanese tea classes, and more. Let's enjoy Japanese tea together!

Japanese tea has a long history and rich culture.
A cup of tea is delicious, enjoyable, soothing, and positively impacts mental and physical health. I'd love to enjoy it with you!
I work with Azuma Tea Farm, who have pride and passion for producing teas. And they are the pioneer of Organic Matcha in Kyoto. All the tea farms they own are pesticide-free.
They don't use chemical fertilizers either. They keep Eco-friendly farming. Tea should be healthy for our body and mind, as well as for the land, and earth. This is their thought.
The tea fields you walk through are a unique beauty created by nature and human hands.
Japanese tea is unique.
I will show you how to enjoy a cup of tea!
