No pesticide used, Picked early spring of 2023 (First flush)

Single origin / Okumidori cultivar is used. This tea has a rich Umami taste but its lighter than Gyokuro. Tea plants have grown under shade for 10 days in early spring. The leaves are dark green and sweet aroma. I recommend cooling down the boiling water until 60℃ to enjoy amazing Umami (broth-like taste). However, I also like to steep with hotter water when I want to be refreshed!

玉露と煎茶の間のお茶と表現されることがある「かぶせ茶」。新芽を20間日陰でゆっくり育て、うまみを閉じ込めたお茶です。しかしながら、玉露よりも軽い味わいのため、80℃ほどの熱めのお湯でサッと淹れて爽やかなテイストを味わうのも良いですよ。うま味=テアニン。テアニン多めのお茶は、ホッとリラックスするのに最適です。
